Assistant Group Home Manager/Assistant Residential Services Manager—FT—Key West (Von Phister St Home)
This is position is an administrative, hourly position at a MARC House group home located on Von Phister St. Hours are mostly days with flexibility to cover evening and weekend shifts as needed. Responsible for assisting the manager with daily operations of Group Homes in accordance with State and Fed rules and regulations.
General Statement of Responsibility Requirements:
The AGHM will be responsible for residential habilitation, respite administrative and program goals, balancing the administrative and programmatic needs of clients (50-70%) with direct client service (30- 50%). The AGHM will provide critical back up for the RSM and other GHMs as needed.
This is an hourly position, and the schedule of hours is solely dependent on client, staffing and home needs, as determined by the RSM.
Illustrative Functions and Tasks:
Monitor resident banking online bi-weekly, ensuring balances do not exceed $2000 at any time. Maintain client recreational fund account and account for all expenditures.
Weekly: Work with Group Home/Residential Manager to monitor Medication Administration ARs and PRN MARs, check all OTC stock and client prescriptions and the Controlled Medication Log.
Ongoing: Work with Group Home/Residential Manager to ensure all OTC and prescription medication is properly stored, and that all old or expired medication is properly destroyed and disposed of ,and appropriate record-keeping of same is recorded.
Monthly: Audit client files for updated information.
Ongoing: Monitor Program files for updated Support Plans, IIPs and Quarterly Reports. Submit all IIPs and Quarterly reports to the Waiver Support Coordinator and properly note submission date and method in the WSC binder arid expandable files at the main MARC administrative office.
Daily: Monitor, participate in, and encourage client program goals and records.
As needed: attend annual support plan meetings for Residential Habilitation clients and known or potential Respite clients.
Prepare check requests and receipts within 24 hours of purchase.
Help Group Home Manager by checking the Group Home box at the main MARC administrative office on regularly scheduled days of work.
Assist with APD monitoring visit. Assist with annual licensing review.
Other duties associated with upkeep and maintenance of home, and meeting the programmatic needs of clients. Timely response to all communication, be it electronic, text, telephone or in person.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and Florida Driver's license with clean driving record required. At least two years of management and administrative experience required, and direct or comparable experience with the same or similar population preferred. Computer skills: moderate to advanced. Pre-employment training. Background screening and references required. EOE
Supported Living Coach – Full Time—Key West
This position provides daily living support to our clients in their homes. Hours are flexible as needed, including weekends. Responsibilities include management of developmentally disabled clients in independent living environments, management of office and In-Home Support staff. Must be available for some evenings and weekends. Bachelor’s degree in related field or year-for-year experience working with developmentally disabled clients in lieu of degree. English language, speaking and writing, proficiency is a must. Salary commensurate with experience. Pre-hire coursework is required and ability to pass a Level 2 background screening, must have a valid FL driver’s license with a clean driving record, and references required. EOE
