Adult Day Trainer / Driver

Direct Care Staff at Adult Day Training Program (FT/PT) – (Key West Office) This position is available at our Adult Day program. This position provided direct care service and support to our clients in the day program. This position requires the minimum of high school completion or GED. Group Home Assistant Manager

 Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job description:

Von Phister Group Home: The Assistant Group Home Manager will be responsible for residential habilitation, respite administrative and program goals, balancing the administrative and programmatic needs of clients (50-70%) with direct client service (30- 50%). The AGHM will provide critical back up for the Residential Services Manager (RSM) as needed.

This is an hourly position, and the schedule of hours is solely dependent on client, staffing and home needs, as determined by the RSM.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and Florida Driver's license with clean driving record required or at least two years of management and administrative experience and direct or comparable experience with the same or similar population. Computer skills: moderate to advanced. Ability to complete pre-hire training and pass background screening. EOE

CNA, Client Medical Services Assistant, Adults with Disabilities

This position is available with our in-house nursing staff. This position provides direct care services and support to our clients in their homes and at our day program. This position requires the minimum of high school completion or GED, a current CNA license and 1 year of experience working in a doctor's office or hospital setting.

English language, speaking and writing, proficiency is a must. Pre-hire coursework is required.


Supported Living Coach—KEY WEST

Pay Range: $19.00 to $21.00/hour

This position provides daily living support to our clients in their homes. Hours are flexible and can vary, including split shifts, mornings and/or evenings M-F, and occasional weekend hours. Responsibilities include management of developmentally disabled clients in independent living environments, management of office and in-home support staff. Must be able to drive clients in MARC vehicles for shopping, errands, etc. Bachelor’s degree in related field or year-for-year experience working with developmentally disabled clients in lieu of degree. English language, speaking and writing, proficiency is a must. Must have basic computer skills including Word, Excel, etc. Salary commensurate with experience. Pre-hire coursework is required and ability to pass a Level 2 background screening, must have a valid FL driver’s license with a clean driving record, and references required. EOE.

Direct Care Staff at Adult Day Training Program (FT) – (Tavernier Office) The Entry Trainer for the Upper Keys will assist in training clients in basic life skills and appropriate behaviors both in the community at large and in their homes. This position provides direct-care service and support to our clients in the day program.

Illustrative Functions/Tasks:

  • Organize and carry out scheduled activities.

  • Maintain contact with already established clients and their families to facilitate training and services.

  • Communicate and coordinate inclusion activities with clients, families and necessary staff.

  • Provide training for clients in basic life skills and appropriate community behaviors.

  • Provide training for families when appropriate.

  • Identify materials and or programs needed for each client.

  • Implement specific instructional programs with clients when appropriate.

  • Monitor client behavior, implement and complete the necessary program work.

  • Implement and complete all necessary documentation as assigned.

  • Report needs of clients and families to Program Coordinator.

  • Attend staff meetings as needed and activities sponsored by the agency.

  • Coordinate and oversee volunteers helping with clients during inclusion activities.

  • Transport clients to and from community inclusion activities.

  • Other related duties as delegated by the Program Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Florida driver’s license with a clean record

  • CPR and First Aid certification (training w/in 90 days from hire)

  • Pre-service training required by APD

  • Level II Fingerprint clearance through the Clearinghouse

  • Must have high school/GED completion; 2-year degree or 1 year experience with Developmental Disabilities or related field preferred.

  • Ability to pass a Level II background screening and references.

Public Relations and Fundraising Manager

Salary Range: $47,000 to $48,000
The PR/Fundraising Manager is responsible for fundraising, public relations, volunteer development, and grant writing. MARC House is seeking a dynamic and energetic Public Relations and Fundraising Manager to lead our organization’s communication strategies and fundraising initiatives. This pivotal role involves cultivating positive relationships with media outlets, community partners, and donors to elevate our mission and expand our impact. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance our public image while driving sustainable revenue growth through innovative fundraising campaigns. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while honing your skills in media relations, marketing, and public engagement.

Illustrative Functions/Tasks:

  • Coordinate and oversee fundraising activities, events, and appeals as approved and authorized by the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. Work in collaboration with the Board Special Events, Business Office Committee, the Executive Director and the Management Team.

  • Act as a liaison with groups and persons holding fundraising events for the agency. Shares this role with the Executive Director.

  • Responsible for preparing and distributing press releases, PSAs, paid ads, and related images to various publications and media organizations.

  • Maintains agency history and photo library in coordination with Executive Director and Business Office.

  • Develops a system to recruit and facilitate the utilization of volunteers for agency programs and fundraising.

  • Be official event photographer.

  • Attend Special Events and other Board Committee meetings, in an ex-officio/non-voting capacity as assigned by the Executive Director. Accept assignments from Board Committees and Team Members subject to the direction of the Executive Director.

  • Organize Capital Campaign events and activities.

  • Develop capital campaign materials, letters, brochures and other public education materials.

  • Facilitate the development of targeted donors in collaboration with MARC Board members and other community leaders.

  • Evaluate and pursue resources available in the community for agency utilization.

  • Pursue grants and funding sources from government entities, corporations, organizations, foundations and individuals.

  • Responsible for donor and membership development and stewardship.

  • Develop and maintain a website for MARC.

  • Attend Team Meetings as assigned by the Executive Director.

  • Complies with all MARC policies and procedures and respects the rights of clients we serve.

  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.

  • Assume other duties which may be assigned by the Executive Director

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. Commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in fundraising and grant writing. Excellent writing and public speaking skills. Knowledge of and familiarity with community structure. Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving history. Knowledge of and familiarity with MARC. Ability to be on site at special event locations throughout the Keys. Computer skills - intermediate to advanced; knowledge of social media platforms.
