We’re in this together.
As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, we are actively working on trying to stop the spread of the virus by practicing social distancing, hand washing, sanitizing, and reducing activities here at MARC.
As of Friday, March 20th, all Day Programs have been suspended until April 3. Both digital and printed notices have been provided to all participants and their caregivers. Services through our Residential Programs (including Supported Living) are still being provided at this time. We have moved staff around and are working diligently to keep them employed. We will continue to update you on any changes made as we heed recommendations from the CDC as well as state and local officials.
Only essential visitors and vendors are allowed at MARC Homes. Each individual is screened using an approved visitor questionnaire provided by state officials. All non-essential visitors will be turned away.
All fundraisers, including the Ice Cream Social and Social Drinking Club, have been postponed. The re-scheduled dates have yet to be determined.
We are continuing the operation of the Rainbow Café in order to deliver food to the clients who are in their homes and apartments. We are offering this free lunch to all clients and staff Monday through Friday through the Rainbow Café.
The Plant Store is open while we harvest our fruits and vegetables for sale to the public. Individuals are screened using the approved visitor questionnaire. As city mandates continue to evolve, we are learning to evolve with our services. We’re navigating through challenging times, but together we’ll get through it.Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by this crisis. We will continue to update you with any new information we have.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Diana Flenard
